Julia Reader Creates studio
4/68 Gray Street, Mount Gambier
(opposite Southern Thai)

This Sip & Paint workshop is an introduction to the glorious medium of watercolour. I will help you understand watercolour paint and its workings and introduce you to the materials used. Together we will explore various painting techniques and get creative with a final painting.

Included in your ticket is:

  • A two-hour guided watercolour experience – all materials included
  • Wine by Tread Softly and a delicious shared platter
  • Laughter and good company

This is a small-group workshop so places are very limited. This workshop is food for the soul, inviting you to connect with your creativity in a social atmosphere. The perfect way to end the week really!

“I enjoyed your workshop very much.”

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN A WORKSHOP?

Each workshop offers you an opportunity to explore the medium of watercolour. You will learn the fundamentals through a series of exercises, all of which come together to create a final painting. I will demonstrate everything first, and I always encourage you to ask questions and seek my help if you need.

All materials are supplied for you, so all you have to do is bring yourself and some optimism. Watercolour should not be daunting – in fact, it will probably leave you feeling quite relaxed when you leave.

I have designed these workshops to be the perfect combination of learning and fun. My aim is for you to know enough to continue on at home, and with practice, perfect your skills so that you feel confident.

WORKSHOP FAQs

I haven’t painted since kindergarten. Can I still come?

Of course you can! My workshops are aimed at the absolute beginner, and if you can hold a paintbrush you are ready to come along! I explain my way through the workshop and encourage everyone to ask questions.

Do I need my own materials?

I supply all materials, so the only thing you need to bring is some optimism and a smile.

Do you cater for those with food requirements i.e. coeliac disease?

Yes I do! Please get in touch with me as soon as possible so that I can arrange a suitable option for you.

Can I get a refund on my ticket if I cannot attend?

Whilst I will be as understanding as possible with regard to refund requests, please understand that I reserve the right to refuse a refund for ticket purchases. No refunds will be issued if cancelled within 48 hours of the workshop. Refund requests must be emailed to me and I will respond promptly.
